Hello,
On October 2013 I am planning a trip to Rome and I would love to learn to speak the language. I would like an in depth understanding and usage of the language. I am a beginning learner. I have purchased Rosetta Stone; however, I would love a broader understanding of when to use Lei, Lui, or un, uno, una and il and la as well as how to form sentences. I want to understand why nouns and verbs conjugate a certain way as well as build my vocabulary. As I have noted above I have one year to learn enough Italian to visit, shop and interact with native Italians. However, I would love to continue my lessons upon returning to the United States, so I may become profecient. The qualities I need in a teacher would be someone who is patient and who can expalin very well.

Beginner in Italian....ha ve started learning a bit on my own and its time for a bit more. However, I don't like the structured classroom environment.
In terms of French, I have had quite a bit of instructions years ago. My conversationa l French is probably non-existent right now; however, my reading is proficient enough.

Hello,
We (my husband and I) are anxious to learn Italian. I am second generation Itlian, my husband is Italian By Marriage (IBM). The majority of my family still lives in the Apulgia region of Italy and I am anxious to maintain ties with them, something I can not do without a better understanding of the language.
I have a 'very good ear' and can understand 80% of spoken Italian and about 60% of written Italian. I only speak at a 30% level. My husband understands about 50% of spoken Italian.
W e have two children under the age of two, so lessons would need to occur in the evenings after the kids were in bed. We would be looking to our instructor to suggest duration of each lesson and frequency.
Our goal is to travel to Italy in two years and be completely fluent and able to converse with our family.

I want to learn French and Italian for personal and maybe professional reasons. I will graduate with my MBA after one more class. This is something I have always wanted to do and will be a great time to make this happen. I have 'never' taken any lessons in either language. I have been to Italy last year and loved the Country. I will dedicate whatever time is needed. I am looking for a teacher who speaks both French and Italian. I want to have an aggressive approach to get to the level of conversationa l speaking.
