I am IBO on my father side and wish to become fluent in our language. I only grew up with knowing English and wish to speak igbo in my daily with my wife along with future children. I can speak a little of the language but help is greatly needed. I want to dedicate at least two hours to my training if possible. I want my teacher to focus on my grammar and conversation.

I am learning Norwegian for fun along with plans to visit and possible relocate to the country of Norway one day.
My proficiency level with Norwegian is beginner, but I have been studying the language for over a year now while attending college full-time.
I am fine with teaching myself writing the language, but when it comes to listening to it, I cannot keep up.
I want to dedicate at least 30 minutes to 1 hour each day studying, and I would like to take hour lessons at least once a week.
The qualities I am looking for in my lessons and teacher are a native's perspective and understanding of the language. I want a teacher who also knows what they are doing when it comes to teaching.

I would like to learn Scottish Gaelic or Irish Gaelic. My great. great grandfather emigrate to the U.S. from Aberdeen, Scotland. I love the music and would like to learn more about the language and history of the regions. I am fluent in Spanish as a second language after having lived in the Panama Canal Zone for 3 years. I know Gaelic is a Germanic language and much tougher than Spanish, but I believe I have the aptitude to learn it. I would prefer a formal classroom but in the absence of that I would take informal classes. I could dedicate 6 hours per week or two 3-hour classes per week. I like the idea of a formal classroom because one get's the grammar, speaking, drills, exercises, vocabulary, and reading, all in one class. The qualities I look for in a teacher/profe ssor are any that enable him or her to impart what they know.

My husband's family is from Costa Rica and we will be moving there in about 3 years. I would like to have good conversationa l skills in Spanish, preferably Costa Rican. I took 4 years of Spanish in Jr. High and High School but that was a long time ago. My husband is fluent in Spanish but not a teacher. However, I will be able to practice with him. I need to brush up on grammar, but my greatest difficulty is fully understanding what I hear and being able to have a conversation. I am particularly interested in working with a Spanish teacher from Costa Rica who lives in the Dallas, TX area.

In the future I plan to pursue a career in foreign affairs, and I believe that learning as many languages as possible will be helpful. I speak fluent Spanish and English, and am currently learning Portuguese. I feel that Mandarin and Arabic are both useful languages in helping me succeed in the future.
