Hello,
My name is Jordan, I am 17, and I would like to begin learning Chinese. I plan on using it through out my entire life, so I plan on taking as many classes as I need to become fluent. In less then a year and a half I plan on touring parts of china, specifically Hong Kong and Beijing. I once had a exchange student from China and I plan on visiting him and his family for a period of time.
A year after returning to the U.S. I plan to go back and teach high school English for 2 years through a emersion program. There I will teach Chinese high school kids how to speak basic English and grammar.
C urrently I plan on taking a number of Martial arts classes and I would love to be able to communicate with my teachers on a higher level.
Wha t I'm looking for in a teacher is someone who is patient and knows how to make learning more interactive. I am flexible on what times to sqeudual lessons. Times after 3:30 are best. Hopefully 2-3 times a week minimum to 5 times max.

I am currently an intermediate student of Arabic. I covered 6 chapters in Al-Kitab and I would like to continue working with this book as well as supplemental materials offered by the instructor. I am very motivated and look forward to apply my Arabic-langua ge skills in my future Ph.D. studies. I would like to take one or two classes per week (estimated time per each session is 90 minutes).
I hold two Masters degrees (Linguistics and International Affairs) and I previously worked for one of the Middle Eastern Embassies in Washington,DC . I am familiar with the culture, traditions, and language trends of the region.
I respect my future tutor teaching methods and would only suggest a few individualize d methodology approaches if needed. I have more than 7 years of teaching/tuto ring experience myself and I am a very hard worker, so I do not anticipate any difficulties in student-teach er communication .
I am both willing to commute to Philadelphia (preferably mornings or early afternoons) or if you reside in DE, I will be happy to have classes in my place and pay you extra for commute. I am right off Amtrak/Septa station in Wilmington, DE.

Hello!
I am interested in learning to speak Mandarin Chinese. I hope to join the US State Department, and I feel that a proficiency in this language is a critical step.
I am a hard worker, and serious student. I won't waste your time or mine.
I would like to meet for two hour-long sessions every week. I am a total beginner, with no experience..w e'd need to start from the very beginning. I understand that this will not be an easy or quick process, and I am willing to put a lot of work into it.
