I am interested in learning Urdu/Hindi as it is spoken by my husband. It would be ideal to learn from him but because of his very long work hours it is not possible. My interest is in understanding /speaking simple conversationa l items. I have traveled twice to India,enjoy watching Hindi movies and appreciate Indian culture.
The time that I would like to spend per week studying is 3 hours or more--It would be a challenge for me as I need to hear, see the written word etc to learn. Im not quite sure the amount of time.
Qualities that I would look for in a teacher is someone that is patient, supportive (im a little shy). Want to learn basics and build on this.

I have never studied Turkish before, although I have studied several other foreign languages through the advanced level. I have long wanted to study Turkish, but have not had an opportunity to do so thus far. I am leaving on 1 July for a week of vacation in Istanbul and I would like to study Turkish for about two hours a day until then in order to learn some basic language skills. I am a very dedicated language learner. I also have language CD's to supplement your lessons.
