My mother is fluent in Tagalog. My father, however, isn't. She didn't want to complicate my English by teaching me two languages so she didn't teach me Tagalog at all. I know a few words but other than that, I'm basicly inept. I would be willing to do lessons during the week after school or on the weekends. Actually, my mother and I are going to the Philippines in July and comming back in August. So I guess the lessons would have to be during June or after we come back. I'd appreciate any type of teacher. =] Salamat ko!

I am at a beginner level, but would like to have a beginner low proficiency. I am applying for the National Security Education Program grant to study Arabic at the University of Maryland and Demascus, Syria. I need to have a solid base in the language in order to be a strong candidate for this grant.
I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed in order to have the proficiency I need.
I would like my language teacher to be available during non-business hours as I work fulltime.

Hello: I am writing for my daughter who is 15 years old. I am looking for a private teacher for my daughter. She is a Freshman now at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. She is getting an A in Chinese 1-2. She will be gone most of the month of June and July. So I am looking for a once a week tutor for her the latter part of July through August. I'm thinking about 6 weeks. She will be taking Chinese 3-4 in her Sophmore year.
I would appreciate a response, and would also appreciate it if you would tell me your rate.
