My proficiency level in Hindi is none - Beginner.
I' d like to learn it for personal reasons, and mostly would like to emphasize on conversation and some writing.
Perhaps a couple or a few hours per week would be optimal to learn and retain some information, but this is to be arranged with the teaching person.
I don't have any specific requirements as to the teacher, nevertheless, he/she should have some background in teaching in general and have a concrete plan/programm for teaching given subject.

My son and I are interested in living in Japan for a year or two to while he studies the gaming industry. In order to do this we will need to be able to speak the language and know as much about the culture as possible.
I am looking for an instructor who speaks Japanese as a first language and knows the culture, preferably from living in Japan. Also the instuctor should be able to teach an 11 yr old child and an adult.

I am beginning level Japanese (as well as a few other languages). I want to be fluent in Japanese language and very knowledgable in Japanese culture. I am hoping to visit, and move if I like it, within a few years. I am more of a conversationa l learner. I have an 'ear' for languages and learn very easily. I would like to dedicate an hour or so to learning with plenty of homework or things to practice during the day. I would like to learn to write as I speak so that I can have a visual picture of what I'm saying. The quality I look for in a teacher is a native speaker of that language not someone who studied it only. I also like a teacher who is strict and makes sure that my pronunciation is perfect.
