I am interested in becoming conversationa lly fluent in Bengali and am willing to dedicate 2-3 hours a week or 1-2 evenings a week to do so. My fiance is from West Bengal and I want to learn Bengali in order to better speak with his family. I am a highly motivated learner, I love languages(hav e studied both French and Arabic) and I would actually appreciate a tutorer who gives me homework to work off of as well and who can combine foci of both grammar and conversation.

I have been in Brazil for the last 5 weeks, so I was able to pick up on some Portuguese. My mother is from Ecuador, so I know some spanish - which definitely helped me.
I would like to be able to speak better portuguese, and even write some, so that I can remain in contact with my Brazillian colleagues and friends.
I'd like a teacher who doesn't necessarily teach me the most proper forms of Portuguese, but can teach me the conversationa l language.

I am attempting to learn Russian and Ukrainian. I have attended continuing education classes at my local community college. I can read both Russian and Ukrainian Cyrillic, but my command of grammar and conversationa l skills need work.
I am prepared to spend 1-2 hours a week (preferably in one session) in one-on-one tutoring.
