I want to be proficient in Italian because my grandparents were born in Tuscany, my parents were fluent in Italian (my mother is 94 years old) and I fear that when my mother dies, so will the language in our family. I want to keep it going. I am 67 years old, I understand Italian, I want to be able to speak it fluently. I love Italy, have visited often, have dear friends in Milan.
I imagine I would be a beginner....
I have as much time as I need to devote to lessons.
