Looking for lessons for my two children (7 and 9) and myself. I have taken Russian, French, Latin many years ago and would like to continue learning.
Neither of my children have taken language classes (my daughter has taken a fun Japanese class in which she learned to sing in Japanese, but otherwise no other classes).
Looking for someone good with children and who will make learning fun. We are willing to devote at least once a week (possibly twice) for lessons and I'm willing to either learn as a group or individually with my children.
Want someone who is patient, sense of humor, and takes their teaching seriously but who is also flexible as I am a working single parent with many other 'irons in the fire.'

I have studied French before, but years ago; my spoken French is poor but passive understanding is better. My goal is eventually to interpret simultaneousl y from French, so passive knowledge is more important, but active conversation is of course useful. My knowledge of grammar is basic, and that needs work. I mostly want to look at higher-regist er, official language. I want to dedicate all my free time to this, but I don't have much! I would start at a couple of lessons per week by Skype video conference.

I am a complete beginner. I am, however, an avid fan of Japanese films, so the sound and intonation of spoken Japanese is familiar to me; I've even picked up a few words of vocabulary. I am mostly interested in being able hold a conversation in Japanese, for possible future travel to Japana, but I am also interested in grammar and the structure of langauage. I could be available for one lesson per week. Obviously, I would like a teacher who is thoroughly familiar with the language, though a native speaker is not necessary. Patience and the ability to explain the same thing several different ways until the student 'gets it' is important to me.

I am looking for a teacher to teach a few times a year for the Wylie Fire Department. Everyone would be considered beginners. We come in contact with so many people that we cannot commuicate with and that makes if very hard to do patient care on the sick.
