I am of Polish decent and grew up hearing my grandparents and my father speak Polish but was never taught properly. I would love to learn Polish and have taken 1 beginner course before. Beginner. Preparation for work on the Mission field in Viet Nam. I was in Viet Nam for about a year, but in terms of learning the language I will be starting as a beginner. I am interested in learning conversation, reading, customs and perhaps writing; mostly, basic but effective communication skills. I want to dedicate as much time to this learning excercise as my work permits (I travel about 30% of the time for work responsibilit ies). I want the lessons to be practical, so I can communicate (speaking, customs and reading) inteligently as soon as possible, maybe an excellerated format. I prefer that the teacher be a female, a national who has lived in her own country, and possibly one that would be open to discussing returning to her country on a temporary basis as my personal interpreter.
