I just moved here from Ann Arbor Michigan and have been trying to master chinese since my first visit there. I was learning by teaching english to the families of Chinese students at the university of michigan family housing center. We would spend an hour of me teaching them English and then we would spend another hour with them teaching me Chinese. Want to learn a slavik language. I have no prior experience other than just a few words from my family and a trip to Poland. Family is Slovak, but possibly distinguished as Carpatho-Rusy n. I went to Poland and want to go back in 2 years. Also would like to visit Slovakia and the Czech Republic (Prague). Not sure of the best language to learn, but in my little research, it appears that all of them are very similar, just a few nuances. Prefer to learn from grammer up, including reading, writing and conversation. I think I prefer a group class at first, but not set in it.
Relati ve to German, I know the basics and would like to expand my knowledge and practice my conversation skills. Otherwise, same as above.

I am an adult learner who wants to study Arabic intensively. I am looking for MSA, and am particularly concerned with learning how to converse. I have studied Arabic for just one semester at the U of M, so I have a basic familiarity with writing and pronounciatio n.
I am looking for 5 lessons/week with a patient, insightful, and motivated teacher. If I can't find it locally than I am preparing to move to Egypt for a year.
