I am a beginner, if even that, in Spanish. I want to learn this language because I just got back from South America and became completely enamored with the continent - the culture, the people, the language. I would like very much to learn as much Spanish as I can and one day return there. Also, Texas is so close to Mexico and most of the Spanish-speak ing countries that I think it's high time I broaden my horizons! I need improvement of an all aspects of Spanish: I learned some conversationa l phrases but have absolutely no foundation. I would like to dedicate three or four hours a week towards my lessons, preferably in the evenings around 6pm, for five weeks or more. I would like the lessons to be more conversationa lly based over paperwork, though I find that to be a very important element for me as well, and that the instructor has at least lived in a Spanish-speak ing country for six months.

I will be in Manzanillio for 3 days (Feb 28 - March 2) and would like to work with a tutor for several hours a day. I could probably be described as an advanced beginner - read better than able to listen or talk. I would also like to correspond about location, so that I choose a hotel that is reasonably close to the school.
