Beginner student. I have been studying some thru the Center for Southeast Asian Sudies program at N. Illinois University..b ut could use a little more 'direction'. (IE. Someone to correct me, organize lessons, be availbe for questions)
Interested in everyday spoken Lao and medical Lao. Ideally, I'd prefer in-person tutoring but working one-on-one online would be acceptable depending on teacher.
I am able to dedicate up to 10 hours per WEEK to learn. (Of course, this depends on pricing)
I 'd prefer a native Lao speaking teacher.

Hello, my name is Jon and I'm looking for lessons in hebrew. I currently know very, very little of the language and would be a beginner student. I'm learning the language mostly for religious reasons but I'm also interested in the language just because I enjoy it, from what I know of it.
I'm currently going to college, Full Sail, and I have a weird class schedule that changes every month. My normal classes are 6/7 days every week on a set schedule and my labs take place at any time (I've had 1am, 9am,5pm labs already and all labs are 4 hours each). I'm in class doing my labs and classes at least 40 hours a week, sometimes more. Because of this, one of the things I'm going to need most is flexibility in times I'd be able to be going to class. While I'd prefer going to group classes, I understand that group classes might not be feasible given my situation and personal lessons would be fine as well if I can get a bit of leeway on my lesson schedule. That being said, I'd be willing to dedicate quite a bit of time to the lessons as long as it stays within my budget. I'm pretty serious about learning the language and being able to use it well.
As for pluses regarding the teacher, one who's good at moving ahead quickly would be a great help. I'm usually a very fast learner and I generally pick up things much quicker than most once I get a grip and understand the basics. So a teacher who's decent at moving through material quickly would be good. Also, a teacher who has a lot of music would be preferred as well. Almost all of what I know and have picked up of hebrew (and spanish, french, italian, swahili, russian and german) is from music and it's a really good way for me to learn. I enjoy lyrics and sound and music immensely so being able to incorporate that into the learning would be great. Another plus would be a native teacher from israel. I'm considering moving there so I'm pretty interested in what it's like out there and what it'd be like to live there.

I learned a little Croatian as a small child, but have forgotten most of it. I'm planning to visit Croatia this spring or summer, and would love to be at least slightly conversationa l in the language. I could devote 2-3 hrs. per week of class time, and whatever is necessary as far as study is concerned. I'm looking for a teacher who is patient, very proficient in the language, and who won't spend an inordinate amount of time on grammar, since I'm only interested in being conversationa lly fluent. I also need to find a teacher who charges a reasonable rate.

I think i am an advanced learner, I have lived many years in english speaking countries and i get by with pretty good fluency. (like people know what i mean when i say things) but i am very clumsy with spoken english particularly with my gramma and expressions when telling stories or describing a situation. this is something that i really want to work on. I would also like to learn more slang for conversations so i can be more personable.
like i said - i am clumsy with the language and i am looking for someone who is patient with this problem - there may be alot of practice and repetition required for me to make progress.

Hello,
I am a 50 year-old part-time library clerk who has discovered the wonderful world of Indian cinema. I would like to learn the Hindi language so that I can enjoy these great films without having to endure the tedious, and I fear abbreviated subtitles.
Obviously, I would be a total beginner so would require a teacher with a great deal of patience and the ability to provide lessons for the next few years.
I would like to take private lessons, but would be willing to join a small class, also. If at all possible, I would like to remain around the South St. Louis area.
I believe that I could devote at least 30 minutes a day (perhaps 1 hour) to my studies.
Hopefully, there is someone out there who will be willing to pass on their knowledge of this most beautiful language.
