A few months ago, I bought the Pimsleur Approach Russian 1 CD course. I am currently on lesson 17 of 30. This is going well, but I'm talking to a CD player...I need to develop confidence to speak to real people. I also want to push myself to learn faster. I have been corresponding online with several Russian women and I would like to visit them in Russia or the Ukraine within the next few months (Dec.?, Jan.?). It would also help me immensely if I could read or write Russian. Presently, I don't even know the Russian alphabet. Recently, I spoke to a beautiful woman in the Ukraine via telephone. We both made it through the conversation, but it became very clear to me that I need to accelerate my learning program. My work schedule is very busy, but somehow I will make time for this because it is very important to me. I am seeking a teacher who is personable and friendly and we should get along just great.
