I am a beginning Arabic student at CSUSM trying to meet my foreign language graduation requirement. My needs is to learn Arabic in a one-to-one level regarding grammer, conversation, and listening. My proficiency level is beginner. I want to learn a foreign language for my own personal edification as well as speaking fluently for possibility of a career change. I want to learn as if I were walking into a university Italian 1A class: grammar, conversation, writing, etc. I would like to meet once or twice a week. I am not sure yet. I want the lesson to be organized like an Italian 1A class. I hope that the teacher is patient and yet thorough in correcting pronounciatio n, writing, and reading.

three to four of us are interested in learning Swedish; or possibly Norwegian, Finnish, or Icelandic.
We are all beginners and we want to learn it for different reasons; cultural heritage, career, etc.
We want to meet once a week on Saturdays, with an occasional Saturday off (about one in 4).
The time would be mid afternoon (around 2 pm), for about 4+ hours. another session could be held Sunday mornings.

I've had some Japanese classes where I've learned some phrases and some kanji. I know the katakana and hiragana characters pretty well and want to learn Japanese to a point that I'm fluent in it and am able to carry a conversation in Japan and navigate my way around the country well. I a currently a High school student in the 11th grade and want to go to Japan right after my senior year of college. I am looking for a good teacher with plenty of experience and capability to teach a person all that would be required for living in Japan which includes how to conducty one's self given many siruation. This would go beyond basic speech.
