salaam Alaykum:
I am a beginner in Urdu.
I am going to marry a man whose native tongue is Urdu. His family speaks Urdu fluently, and it is his family's wish that I learn the language. They help me and I apprefiate it but I would like to take a class to futher my learning.
I am not sure what can be accomplished in what amount of time, so I need guidance in answering your question about how much time I plan to commit to this task.

Hello,
I am a beginner for Mandarin Chinese. I studied by books and computer for about a year 5 years ago and I would like to return to my studies, but I need guidance and practice. Ever since the 8th grade in junior high school my passion for learning other languages is growing. I speak Russian fluently and am currently studying Spanish. (Self taught by books) I really enjoy learning foreign languages because I can help more people. In the future I would like to be an ESL (english as a second language) teacher. I have volunteered many hours at an adult education school and I have noticed that people appreciate my help and I enjoy helping them. I study foreign languages about 40 hours a week. I read flash cards as I travel, work, eat,etc. I only looking for a teacher who will push me to learn even faster.
