I am a sophmore at a Saint Xavier in Chicago. I am at beginner the beginner level. I have never had an opportunity to take Afrikaans. I am an international business major as of this moment and I need to have 9 credited hours of a foreign language. I would like to learn Afrikaans because I am curious and I think it would be a great experience to work for a business in South Africa. In order to have time to study I am planning to become a part time student if this program works out. I would like a teacher that cares about the students success and who is not afraid to answer questions.

I've been to Romania 3 times on mission work, but I don't know the language at all. I am hoping to eventually stay in Romania long-term. My school offers independant study courses, and I want to take Romanian as my independant study. I'm looking for a way to learn the language online, or through some kind of qualified program.
