I am an advanced beginner, having had some eclectic tutoring over the last two years. I have a reasonable proficiency in classical pronunciation and am trying to develop my grasp of grammar and syntax.
I would like a teacher who is patient and does not proselytize anything. I am a teacher myself near retirement age, and want to continue my study of Latin in order to understand the literature, but I am not in a rush. I would like to get to the stage where I can succesfully parse poetry and formal literature, i.e., Horace, Cicero, Juvenal, Tacitus, etc.
I live in Oakland, but work in San Francisco, and have weekday afternoons(af ter 3:00 pm free).
