- My proficency level in Catalan would probably be beginner, though I took a class ten years ago and advanced rather rapidly.
-I spent a year and two summers of high school in Barcelona, where I made lifelong friends. Each year that I visit, the city has become more and more Catalan (I lived there in 1989, 1990-91, and 1992), and I would like to keep up with the times. I speak fluent Castilian Spanish and French, as well as Russian, though I need practice on the latter. It would give me great pleasure to be able to converse with my friends in their first language, and I am sure it would mean a lot to them as well.
-I would like to take a class that meets in the daytime, since I work most nights. I am willing to dedicate 2-4 hours weekly.
-I would appreciate a teacher whose main focus is conversation and grammar- someone who can make class interesting by discussing either current events or the thriving food and wine industry in Catalunya.

I am a beginner. I Think Italian is a beautiful language, I have an Italian last name (Avelli), my grandfather was Italian, so I want to learn it. I already understand a little bit of Italian, because my native language is Spanish. So I want to be able to have at least a basic conversation in Italian. So in a future I can study in Italy for a while. I want to take a really intense classes, like 4 times a week.

We are a family of four, us parents and two kids, aged 12 and 15, who are interested in learning to speak chinese. We believe this would be an important tool for us, as we deal constantly with Chinese companies and our kids will benefit from learning the language at an early age. Our proficiency level, however, is 0.
We think that we should start with one-two hour(s) per week and then we can progress to more hours if needed.
A teacher willing to work with us should be patient, as well as, a dynamic person who can make the class a fun learning experience for his/her students and should be willing to teach us at our home.
