Hello,
My name is Michelle and I am interested in learning Italian.
I have started to study using books and online but am still a beginner. I am interested in learning Italian because I am planning a trip to Italy in May 2007 and would like to be able to speak the language and not just bumble through it. I would like to be able to spend about 2 hours per week with a teacher and then be able to study on my own. I would like a teacher who is patient and able to help me learn to carry on an infromative conversation with the people in Italy.

While I speak bits and pieces of several languages, I'd really like to improve my French. I have some of the basics of the language down, mais, la/le? grammaire est difficile! I have a strong desire to tour with my company and speaking the language more fluently would be a tremendous asset.
I have Mondays off and am available most mornings. I'd like to try for at least 2-3 hours with a tutor a week--then practice when I get to work.
I think that with individualize d focus, I might be able to pick it up more quickly.
