I am a beginner in this language. I have had no previous tutoring and have not learned any of the basics. I am wanting to learn Malayalam because I plan on moving to India in the future and wish to know how to speak correctly and efficiantly. I also wish to learn because I speak with a man who's mother tongue is Malayalam and occasionally we cannot understand one another.
T he teacher I'm looking for would preferably be willing to take the time to explain why I do something incorrectly and explain the difference in the correct way and the incorrect way of saying or writing the mistake. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as the teacher believes is needed.

My first lenguage is Spanish, I want to learn Portuguese, because I'm a student of International business and Brazil is plays an important role of the global economy. Another reason why I want to learn this particular lenguage is because I find the Brazilian culture very interesting. I don'thave any previous knowledge of the lenguage, but I'm sure it will be relatively easy to learn it, concidering that spanish is my first lenguage. I can dedicate between four to eight hours a week to my lessons, I want to be fluent in about a year.
I think the best teacher is that, that have a passion for what he/she is teaching, that is what I want in my teacher.

I am beginner in Spanish, and would like to find a private teacher to help jumpstart my language study--with particular emphasis on grammar. I will be finished with my masters degree at the end of October, and would like to dedicate a few months solely to begin my Spanish study before I begin working. I would like to learn Spanish mainly for professional reasons, and I plan to do community-bas ed development work related to reproductive health.
I would like to have two lessons per week, an hour and a half each--at least in November and December and potentially extending into later months. My budget range is $15-20 per hour.
I am looking for an engaging, experienced teacher who will challenge me and help design the best strategy for my Spanish learning based on my strengths and weaknesses. I have studied several languages before including French, and find disciplining myself with grammar the most difficult.
I would like to find a tutor by the end of August so that I can begin immediately in November when I return to Tampa.

My son is entering his senior year at the University of Mn.
He is doing well in all courses (except Italian) and is set to graduate in May 2007. He is currently enrolled in a summer session (second semester) and is having difficulty. I suggested that he get outside tutoring to get him through. He needs two more semesters after this summer session in order to graduate.
