Hi,
I'm looking for a teacher/tutor to help me learn Portuguese. I know very few words in the language and nothing of sentence structure, pronunciation , etc.
My reason for learning the language is that my daughter lives in Brazil (she is only a year and a half old) and I would like to better communicate with her family, and, especially, her, as she gets older.

I have learned the Arabic alphabet and can sound out words though I don't know what they mean! I have a small vocabulary with lots of stock phrases. Some understanding of structure and grammar.
I am working on a public health research project in Kuwait and have spent a fair amount of time there this year. I would like to be able to read/write the surveys we use in the research as well as talk with staff of the project in Kuwait.
I would like to do some intensive work this summer.
