Hello--
I am a total beginer. I am looking to learn a Foreign Language, because I am also preparing to go to school for International Relations/ International Business Management. I figured If I am going to work with International Business, then Mandarin would be the best language to start with. I could dedicate a couple hours a night, a couple of nights per week. As I work full time and am preparing for school as I have mentioned. A Foreign Language is most important to my current goals, I look forward to working with a patient teacher, as I seem to be at a loss with language. Even my own at times.

I am interested in learning Spanish. I am thinking about transferring to Miami, and I am told English and Spanish are the primary languages.
I work Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm, close to McCarran International Airport.
I have absolutely no knowledge of the Spanish language.
I am looking to become proficient in the language, and speak fluently. I have tried using the at home tapes, but find I have a problem with inflection and the proper accent.

I have an intermediate speaking and understanding level in Danish. Reading I am quite advanced in. I lived in Denmark for a year and have many good Danish friends who often helped me learn the language. I fear I will forget all of my Danish if I don't continue studying.
I need help grammatically as far as writing and speaking goes. I am willing to put in a lot of time to learning Danish better because I am interested in moving back very soon.

I am definitely a beginner in Portuguese. I would need to have interaction via the internet and then a couple of weeks in Brazil in the near future. I wish to learn the language for two reasons. Number (1) is career advancement, number (2) I am seriously considering retirement in Brazil within the next 4-5 years.
I am totally a novice in the language and would like to become conversationa l with limited reading.
I am desiring to devote maximum time of 10-15 hours per week for approximately 3-4 months over the internet. At that point, I would need to come to Brazil for a two week crash course with my teacher..
I find that I usually communicate much better with an easy going and yet provoking individual, who appreciates humor and yet can be intense when needed. Almost always I am much more receptive to a female.
