I studied French in college and want to refresh my skills. Which at this point are very rusty! I need the language quickly for a trip to Provence this July. So I think perhaps conversation skills need to be emphasized. I am willing to take one lesson a week until departure.
I need a teacher that will come to my home, someone who has a sense of humor and is patient. Even at my best, I never had a great accent!

My two young sons and I would like to learn mandarin. My husband is currently taking Berlitz lessons (paid by his employer). Our family hopes to someday live and work in China. My heritage is Chinese/Hawai ian (I was born in Honolulu) and neither of my parents spoke Chinese.
My husband and I would like to spend at least 1 hour per week in lessons, and practicing at least 1/2 hour a day. Our boys are young (6 and 8 yrs.) and we also have very busy lives with school, work, and sports.
We would like our lessons to be fun but useful. We would like a teacher who incorporates fun into language learning, but not at the expense of being overly goofy or irreverent. We would like a teacher who gives good feedback and encouragement , and who can relate well to both young children AND grownups.
