I lived in serbia for six years as a young kid and spoke fluently. When i got back to the states slowly but surely I forgot the language. Now i speak very little. I am re learning because i plan to travel back to serbia. I need improvent in pretty much all the areas my accent is not bad though. I would like to take a hour long class a few times a week. The qualities i am looking for in a teacher are pretty much just a good teacher.

Ellisande is essentially a complete beginner at Thai, having picked up no more than he could in a week of vacation. He is looking at beginning classes either Spring or Summer 2006.
In the short run, he desires to learn (in order of priority):
a ) Enough language and associated culture in order to properly show gratitude
b) Tones, which will be his biggest stumbling block

Dear Sir or Maam,
I am at the beginner level of the italian language. I have taken a first level class at TCU (continuing education class) which was 2 hours/wk. for 10 weeks. My mother is Italian and my grandparents speak fluent Italian. I have been to Italy several times to visit relatives, feel a connection, and wish to speak the language.
My goal is to become fluent in Italian, and I would like to accomplish that before I retire in 10 years. At that point I am considering living in Italy, perhaps even working in Italy at that time. I feel that I would need a long term plan to accomplish this. I am also very intent on learning to speak Italian using correct grammar, not just to converse or 'get by'.
I would like private, or semi-private lessons, because I have a shifting work schedule and I need some scheduling flexibility with my teacher.
My only concern at this point would be the time commitment if I were to be traveling from downtown Ft. Worth (where I live) to Dallas. I am willing to do this, but I doubt I could do it twice a week. If the lesson were for 2 hours, that would be 4 1/2 hours for me to accomplish a lesson. I could definitely accomplish more lesson time if I were to have the lesson in Arlington or somewhere near the airport. Perhaps the lessons would be more frequent at first and then more spread out later ?
