My conversationa l skill is a beginner level. I studied Japanese at SDSU for 1.5 years and lived in Japan for one year. I can read and write hiragana and katakana but I've forgoten most kanji.
I am interested in learning conversationa l Japanese. Learning from a textbook is very different from actually speaking with someone.
I 'd like to visit some friends in Japan in September. Hopefully, I can speak Japanese with them.
I think 1-2 meeting per week would be good.
My listening comprehension needs to improve. I often had to ask people to repeat themselves many times.

My name is Emily and I would like to learn the Czech/Slovak language. My employer is a native of the Czech Replubic and I would like to be able to communicate with her in her native tongue. She is trying to teach me the basics, but doesn't really have the time to dedicate to my learning.
