I am interested in learning some basic Chinese for conversation and for my personal education. Depending on my ability, I might consider additional study. While I am not sure which dialect to study, most of the lessons that I have seen offer Mandarin.
I would prefer in person study, either in a small group or private lessons, once a week. I do have internet acess and would consider online study as a supplement.
I live in Bridgeport (S. side of Chicago) and work downtown.
I am a professional (accountant) and used to studying so both my interest and my motivation are high

I do not know any french whatsoever. I would like to accept a position with the Peace Corps however the language requirement is French and the departure date is July 2006. I need to learn 6 credit hours (French 1 and 2 perhaps?) of university level french. I will spend whatever time is required to make this happen in the next 5 or 6 months.

I am a beginner with no background in Portuguese but am traveling to Brazil this summer and would like to work for 6-8 hours a week starting in the middle of March until the end of May to get a basic understanding of conversationa l and grammatical Portuguese. Conversation is more important but a grammatical background would not be bad either. Im looking for a tutor that is kind and will help me learn!

I am looking for tuitor for my 14 years old daughter. She is interested in learning Mandarin because we are Chinese.
She is an absolute beginner in the language and would like to start from the beginning. Because of her school schedule, we would like to take one lesson a week in late afternoon, anyday Monday through Friday.
