I am embarassed to say that although I studied Spanish in high school and college, I can no longer understand or speak the language.
I want to re-connect to my love of this language and specifically be able to:
- communicate conversationa lly to my 4 year old son
- translate conversations /stories from spanish to english for my family
- eventually be fluent enough to be a volunteer translator
Time commitment? Two in-person sessions per week
Quali ties looking for: Teacher who can help me immerse myself in the language and provide homework/stud y plan to keep me on track. Also, a plus would be to help me determine the best way to start my 4 yr old in speaking Spanish, too.
