My native language is English, but my parents are from Afghanistan and my profiency in Farsi is advanced. I speak Dari but when I here Iranian farsi I can only understand 35-45% of it. I cannot read or write in Farsi either, my skills are primarily oral. I am also fairly strong in Spanish.

I am a petroleum engineer working in Houston and living in Katy. My job is somehow related to our oil fields in Russia and I need to know the Russian language in some extent.

I am interested in learning several languages, but for now I'll focus on two.
Spani sh is essential to interacting with people in a day-to-day basis. I have taken courses in the past, but know no spanish speakers. Not knowing Spanish has become a barrier to communicating with a lot of people in my area.
I am a beginner, learning from Pimsleur Swedish Level 1. Scandinavian languages sound beautiful, and they are a challenge. I was tutored in Danish at my previous job, and have a Danish accent when speaking Swedish. I would like this corrected.
I need a teacher who is willing to record sounds on a voice recorder so I may practice pronunciation at home. They must be patient. I am a slow learner. I can meet most Saturdays. Grammar comes easily, but hearing and speaking are more difficult. I'd like to focus on hearing, speaking and pronunciation .

I have lived in Taiwan for one year and a half. I taught English to students there and had to learn a significant amount of Chinese to communicate with them. I am very serious about learning both spoken and written Chinese, but I need practice with my speaking. I am also a law student, and I hope to practice law international ly--hence my desire to learn Chinese. I would like to meet once or twice a week, at least two hours each time.
