I am interested in learing French for both pleasure and for self improvement. I have tried to teach myself in the past with little success. While I do know some basic words and phrases, I am definitely still a begninner. I am looking for a teacher that I can have live interaction with. I learn best when I am able to practice and ask questions. I would be interested in dedicating a few hours a week to my language lessons. I have travelled in East Africa, mostly kenya and spend time in Nairobi and much time on Safari in recent years.
I am very interested in being able to comunicate in swahili. I have learned on my own via books and tapes and listening, but it doesn't seem to make me able to really comunicate. I believe I need person to person practise.
I wish to learn more as I plan to travel again in september to Kenya. Just for personal use, to get by in everyday swahili.
I love the language and do not see why i should not learn to speak it spending so much time there.
I would like to spend one time a week now learning or more than that if I start my learning later towards spring.
Th e qualities I am looking for, is lessons that fits my knowlegde already and a native teacher who can also teach me some native phrases etc.
