Hello,
My name is Libia Carrascal and I am looking for a professor to learn mandarin. Currently I work part time and go to school full time, so I am not really sure how much time should be necessary to dedicate to the lessons, but I am eager to learn for my personal interest in the culture as well as for career advancement.
I am looking for a prefessor that is patient and enthusiastic who can help me learn mandarin. Please let me know how much do you charge and what is your schedule, as well as how many hours you recommend to be spent weekly.

I am the parent of two young boys, ages 8 and 11. My native language is English, but I am able to communicate in Spanish due to time spent working in South America.
My wife and I have both spent a great deal of time overseas as tourists and for business. It is our belief that having the ability to communicate in a second language is important in order to be a well rounded individual.
Obviously , China is a very influential country as well as a fascinating culture. I would like to find out about having a tutor work with our family to learn some basics of Mandarin Chinese.
W e would all be complete beginners in the language and would like to start out with a weekly session if possible.
As far as a teacher is concerned, it is very important to have someone who has experience with children and can make it fun for them.
The last thing to consider is that Katy is a suburb located west of Houston. It would not make sense for an instructor that was not situated in this area to attempt to teach our family a language.
