I'm working on a project that requires travel to Colombia, and would like to develop workable conversation ability in Spanish. I've been studying on my own, so I'm not exactly a beginner, but I need a lot of practice, and further help in developing skills. I speak and understand French better than Spanish, so I generally understand the grammar. Mostly, I need to develop my 'ear' (which, unfortunately , isn't very good, even in English!) for the language.

I would like to learn Spanish and I would certainly be considered a beginner. I took Spanish in high-school, however, I do not remember much. I have always wanted to learn a second language and I believe that Spanish would be the most practical.
I am recently divorced and have no children. With that said , I have lots of extra time to learn.
I would like a teacher that is patient, but I would also like to move at a good pace as long as I feel comfortable with how much I am learning.
