Hello, My name is Megan Buquen. I recently married a Norwegain and am traveling to and fro from Norway to San Francisco a few times a year. My new family speaks English very well, but I want to learn Norwegian as well to be able to speak it with my husband and family. I also would like to learn how to write as well. 3 year old and 6 year old children who have been around the Cantonese dialect of the Chinese language all of their lives. They understand more than they can speak. It is our wish that they continue to be immersed in the language so that they can be fluent in it when they are adults.
Th ey both learn very quickly. Both have also learned other languages (the 6 year old learned American sign and the 3 year old is fluent in Spanish). English is the native language spoken both at home and school.
