I am a beginner and my step family is philipino and I feel very sad that I dont know tagalog or could watch movies that much w/out subtitles so it saddens me too much b/c I want to become closer to there family and my step sister who treats me like a real sister and she's the best person in the world to me.
Howeve r much time is necessary I will do it. *^^* I am determined.
I would like to read and speak it correctly and understand it. But I learn slower then other kids because of my disability but I will study day and night and buy lots of books if I have to. I wont give up.

My 10 year old son is fascinated with Japanese culture and would love to learn the language. He visits his grandparents in Hawaii every summer and is dying to see Japan.
