LEVEL: Beginner
P URPOSE: My husband and his family are from Latvia. I would like my son to learn fluent Latvian so one day when we visit Latvia he can speak with his extended family, or write letters, or talk on the phone to them in Latvian. Also, I would like him to speak to his father in Latvian at home to keep what he learns fresh in his mind so he will never forget what he learns.
AR EAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Since he knows very little now, he can improve in all areas.
LEN GTH OF LANGUAGE LESSON: He has never had a 'language lesson', so I don't know what an appropriate amount of time would be. But, I would guess about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
QUAL ITY OF LESSON AND TEACHER: I would like the quality to reflect authentic Latvian. I would like the lessons to be serious, in depth, interesting, fun and catered toward a child of 10 years old.

I have not yet started studying, but have ordered some computer software, audio CD's, and books to learn Serbian. I will be traveling with a friend to visit his Family in Belgrade in August. I would like to learn to speak enough to converse with people while there. I can maybe spare one or two days a week for lessons. Located in Chicago, IL.

To Who It May Concern,
I am interested in learning and eventually becoming fluent in the Danish language. I have taken 10 lessons at the beginner level but it has been about a year or more since I have taken follow-up lessons. I have been to Denmark and plan to visit again.
I am wanting to learning the Danish language not only because my boyfriend's parents are Danish, but because I find it a challenge. His father speaks no English and I would like to be able to communicate with him when I return to Denmark as well as other family members who do not speak English.
I will devote as much time as it takes to learn Danish. I work during the day, so my lessons would have to be after work at least 2-3 days a week, 1.5-2 hours a day. I have a computer at home with voice capability (VoIP).
I would like a teacher who is patient and repeats constantly. I would like a lot of pronounciatio n lessons as well as tests and conversation. Thank you.
