I can spend about 3-4 hours a week on studying. I would like
lessons that inspire more learning and give suggestions on the usage of language, recomend music, films, books, etc. to further the overall understanding of how the language fits with the culture
Spanish - Beginner. Want to go slow get exposure to the language. I believe Spanish is an important language of the future.

I have been studying (books and cds)at home for about 3 years. I can speak very little, but am familiar with some vocabulary, grammar, and can read hiragana and katagana. very little kanji learned. I want to be able to converse enough to get around Japan and communicate with people about simple things. I would be willing to dedicate several hours a week to practice. I want the teacher to be able to answer my questions as to why things are said in a certain way (if that makes sense!). I would like the lessons to be in Japanese as much as possible.

I am going to work in Japan, Mizusawa, Iwate-ken, for 6 months
starting from 2005.09.01. My knowledge of Japanese is close to
zero. I would like to get initial training which would allow me
to communicate in shop, train, bank, to ask and understand
d irections and to maintain a simple dialog.
I am willing to take two lessons per week with a teacher and to
