I am interested in becomimg proficient in tagalog for conversation. Currently, I am studying on my own with books purchased on-line. I find them difficult to follow and feel I would benefit from one on one instruction. I consider myself a beginner. I would be a beginner and I want to learn so that I can talk to my girlfriend's family. She is Swedish but from Yugoslavian decent and her mother is Serbian and that is what she speaks. She speaks Swedish as well and but I think that learning Serbian would be better. I am looking for a teacher that can teach me both the formal and casual ways of speaking the language. I would also like to know some of the history of that region.

I am taking beginning french at the university level and I have also had two years in high school. I find it easier to read and write french rather than speak it. I need someone to practice my conversation skills with. I have to learn french and german fluently for my career. I am studying art history and anthropology. I would like to meet with a tutor twice a week and I have a pretty flexable schedule. I also would rather meet in a public place for lessons, such as a coffee shop. I am looking for a teacher that has lived in France for at least a year or two, but would prefer a native speaker. I need a teacher that is willing to look over my texts that I am using in class and who would be willing to go over specific chapters with me, especially those concerning grammer.

I'm a beginner and currently learning Portuguese through some teach-yoursel f books and with the help of a friend. Ideally I'd like to be able to speak it so as to prepare myself for a trip to Brazil or, in the future, to go on a study abroad program. Grammar and conjugations are probably the two most difficult parts of learning for me--as well as pronunciation as I haven't got a clear idea of how to pronounce what I have learned. At least once or twice a week and I'd like lessons that don't necessarily have a set pace. Some things can be rushed if understood easily and others taken with care and not pushed to learn it if having difficulty.
