I come from an Indian background, in which my father is fluent in Gujarati and my mother is fluent in Marathi. Unfortunately , I only know English.
I have cancer, grounding me to stay at home with my parents. My one wish is to learn Hindi so I may converse with my grandmother, my aunts, and my uncles in India, as my entire extended family lives in Mumbai. Please help me to make my dream come true.

Greetings Mr. Jorge Peret. My financee lives in Salvador, Bahia. I want greatly for her to learn english. We have plans of her relocating her to the United States by late August or early September. She needs a solid introductory level to english. So she can function in America. I am thinking a 3-6 month course should suffice. She works from morning to about 6:00pm weekdays. In addition to working saturdays. She doesn't work on sundays. She already has the Cortina language series on learning english for brazilian portuguese speakers. How much would this type of course be monthly in united states dollars? I figure she can devote10-12 hours per week. Thanks for yoour time and attention in this matter.

Proficiency Level: Because my boyfriend is Serbian, I know the basics and can understand some of the conversations he has with others.
Wh y I am learning Serbian: I am learning Serbian because I would like to be able to talk with many of the Serbian people I encounter through him; to understand the conversations Serbian people have in my company; to some day meet his family and speak Serbian with them.
Area s I need improvement: Grammar. Right when I think I am getting the gist of the language, it changes in different context,s and I am confused all over again.
Tim e: As much as possible. I have such a great desire to learn Serbian that I would be willing to meet as much as needed. I teach Kindergarten. So, I work M-F from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. I have nights, weekends, and holidays off.
Quali ties I am looking for: Patience and an understanding for what I want to learn, rather than pushing unnecessary information on me, like my book does. I am not as concerned in learning how to buy a train ticket or purchase clothes, like my book is teaching. Rather, I would like to be able to converse with people in a casual manner and understand the majority of what they are speaking about.

Hello-
I am currently trying to learn the Portuguese language.
My fiance is Brazilian, and is currently there due to immigration issues. I have been to Brazil twice, since she left the U.S. Her family does not speak English, and I would like to gain fluency to speak easily with them, and make it easier to get around Brazil.
I have been taking private lessons from a tutor for the past year, but she is looking to end the lessons due to time constraints due to her job. I have a basic knowlege of sentence structure and common verbs. I am looking for someone I can practice speaking with and to increase my vocabulary to become fluent. I would like to take lessons 1 to twice a week in the evenings at around an hour to hour and a half per lesson.
