I am a beginner in Mandarin Chinese, but have learned some phrases at my favorite Chinese restaurant.
My first interest in Chinese was because of a Chinese-Ameri can friend. Since then, I have several Chinese acquaintances with whom I practice.
I also bought the book, Beginning Chinese (conversation only), with tapes, and have finished 4 lessons, with the help of a tutor, who has quit teaching.
I want to learn conversation rather than reading, and would like to visit China in about one year.
I would like one-on-one lessons with a native Chinese person only. That way I can learn at my own pace and hear only native Chinese, which I prefer.

I have a working knowledge of spoken Vietnamese. I would like to learn how to read and write in Vietnamese. I was born in Vietnam but came to the U.S. when I was less than a year old. I would be willing to work with your schedule, in terms of the length of the language lessons. -I want to learn greek fluently to speak with my family in Greece. I am first generation greek and I am unable to communicate effectively with my family. I am also getting married in August and my family is coming to visit for the wedding. I am willing to dedicate any amount of time needed for the lessons. I am looking for a teacher to provide me with personal classes or small class room sizes. I have an understanding for some words and pronunciation of the language from growing up around family.
