Dear potential instructor,
I am interested in learning to speak conversationa l Arabic. I took a semester of classical Arabic in college, have grown up around the language (I am Lebanese-Amer ican) and am married to a wonderful man who speaks fluent Arabic but doesn't really have the patience to teach me. We have recently traveled to Syria and Lebanon to visit relatives and though most of them speak some English, I would like to learn Arabic in order to better communicate in the future. I would classify myself as a beginner/inte rmediate. It is easier to learn from someone face to face so I can see them form the words. I have learned some from a CD I purchased as well. But, I have found that I am not disciplined enough to go to it on a daily basis and learn. I seem to need some guidance and expectations from an instructor. I hope there is someone close by that can help me. I would expect to meet weekly or bi-weekly with a set goal to reach by each meeting. It doesn't have to be a private lesson, but smaller class sizes seem to be more effective. Thank you.

I am seeking a language tutor to help me improve my Amharic, primarily because I sometimes travel to Ethiopia for work. My current ability level is that of an advanced beginner. I am able to read newspaper articles with the aid of a dictionary, and can carry on basic conversation. Grammar and speaking ability are the areas in which I need the most help. Hello,
My name is Rick Bloomgren. Onamae wa Rikku desu. Hajimemashite ^_^ I have taken Japanese language classes off and on for a good 6 years. I also have a Japanese wife who I use my Japanese with in some cases. However, I really need a more solid grasp of the language to open opportunities for me. Especially in the area of obtaining career opportunities and Engineering work overseas in Japan. At the very least, I would like to excel at my level of Japanese so that I may be able to communicate with Junko's family and friends as well. I live in Elk Grove, CA this city is right next to the Sacramento and or Davis California.
