Dear future professor,
My goal is to learn Spanish at a native like fluency.
My name is Adam, and I own a production company based in New York City. Recently, I was inspired to go on a language learning journey. I want to become a polyglot (A person who understands multiple language). In high school and college, I was frustrated with my performance in language. However, I have found that I am passionate at connecting with people. I want to understand and communicate with my clients, friends, and strangers who speak their native tongue. One of my first clients was a Spanish-only speaking individual, and regret not knowing enough to communicate with him effectively.
Now I am at the utmost beginner level, and have begun some self-study (I know maybe 20 words as of February 2020). I wish to learn all aspects of the language (Speaking, reading, and writing.) But, my main goal is to learn speaking the language first.
Particularly, I am looking for a professor who is willing to meet with me once a week and guide me in a good direction. I would like to focus on speaking and conversation. Currently, the amount of time I'm spending on Spanish is around 1 hour a day after and before work.

My name is Christi. I am married to a man from Dubrovnik and we have two children. Because of my husband's job, he is travelling most of the year and doesn't have the time really to teach us his language. My in-laws in Dubrovnik do not speak any English at all and I speak VERY little Croatian. When we visit them, it is very difficult for me to communicate with them.
It is my goal to learn enough Croatian so that I can feel more comfortable when in Croatia. Oh, and one other thing: I know there are different dialects in many areas of Croatia so I would prefer someone who is comfortable teaching the Dalmatian way of speaking. Hvala lijepa!

I would like to learn Persian Farsi and Dari because I think it is a beautiful language and I am interested in Iranian culture and history. I am an absolute beginner at the language. I have attempted self-study, but it is very difficult without someone to help guide and teach me. I know a few letters of the alphabet, but not all of them, so I struggle to read. I only know a few words and phrases right now, and my biggest issue is trying to remember vocabulary. I would like to dedicate time on the weekends, and a few evenings a week to learn.
I would like a teacher who is patient but stern. If I am not pronouncing the words correctly, I would like the teacher to correct me until I can pronounce words as they should be. I also love creativity when it comes to lessons, it helps me remember more.
