Hello, my name is Sam. I’m studying capoeira in California and with that I’m becoming extremely fascinated with Brazilian culture. I have been studying Portuguese for a while now and I’m probably just barely an intermediate. I’d like to spend most of my lessons in conversation where some narrative is built. I’d like to dedicate 1.5-2 hours per week to learning this way. A quality I would like in a teacher include a touch of creativity and willingness to go outside the box.

I have a masters degree in Humanitarian Studies and have completed to Critical Language Scholarships in Kiswahili. I would like to continue learning Kiswahili because I love the language and it would allow me to work and be of service in East Africa. I am between a Beginner High and Intermediate Low fluency. I need improvement in more complex grammar, conversation, and reading/writi ng. I would like to meet 1 time per week for a couple hours.
