I am a total beginner.
I have just returned from a trip to Japan and would like to return there someday but found that there was a language barrier as not many people spoke English.
A s for time to dedicate to learning, I would make the time if it was a 'Live, in person' class. I work during the day and have a business at home that takes up some of my time in the evenings but I am willing to juggle things to accomodate my lessons.
I would like to be taught by someone who is fluent in the language and knows the nuances and inflections used. While in Japan I was around people that had different skill levels and found that people who learned the language from books had a hesitant way of speaking. While others that had immersed themselves were quite fluent and their speach flowed.

Beginner. Will be marrying my Chinese fiancee in 6 weeks. Her parents also livve with us for now. I would love to be able to become fluent one day as I am sure that when we have children, they will also speak Mandarin.
