I am interested in learning the basics of Chinese both for personal and professional reasons, my job does put me in contact with Chinese natives often and it would be great to be able to discuss with them in their own language. I have never spoken Urdu before so I guess I neep improvement on everything to do with speaking Urdu

I have conversationa l spanish, from 1.5 yrs in Latin America five years ago. I learned 'on the street' with no classes so I (a) want to improve my grammar/vocab ulary, and (b) refresh since I am out of practice! My immediate objective is to work on my spanish intensely over the month of February 2006 as I will be in Mexico for work in March.
I am looking for an instructor who will work with me primarily through conversation, and help me design my 'study plan' between our lessons. Our goal will be to help me become versent, particularly in my line of work -- water and international development.
