I speak English and a very minimal level of French. My boyfriend is a native of Bosnia. I have become quite close with his family, who speak little English. Our goal within the next 5 years is to move to Bosnia and we will be visiting there this summer. I am a social worker who completed my masters with a focus on working with Canadian refugee children. I would like to in the future work with bosnian ppl and thus will need to speak the language. I know some words and am reading a self learning workbook but I literally sPeak no bosnian. I want to start doing at least one or two hours of private tutoring per week with someone to teach me bosnian. I'd also like to have homework during the week. Please advise if there is a tutor who can assist me.

My reasons are personal in nature and are not related to any career advancement.
I am interested in learning the language because I have some friends who are Indian and have been exposing me to some of their culture (movies (sub-titled), music, food and some of their upbringing). Most of them are from Mauritius. Because of this exposure, I have developed a desire to learn. (And if God permits, perhaps have the means to travel there.)
I do not want just to understand the language, I would also be interested in learning how to read and write, if possible.
I would be considered as a beginner in all aspects.
My availability to learn is currently limited to evenings and some weekends (due to working and children under my care).
My budget is tight, however I am willing to pay the full amount if we can find a payment arrangement.
As for the lessons, I am looking for thoroughness with clear explanations. I am very visual, so any thing that can be learn visually, will help me greatly. I also look for a teacher that is patient, understanding and a vast knowledge about the Indian language. Despite how challenging it may be, the most important of all, we are having fun while we are learning!
Languages has never been my strength (mathematics are), however I love to learn new things which is a strength I have.
