I'm barely a beginner learning Mandarin. I took Mandarin pinyin lessons in the summer of 2007 to learn how to pronounce the sounds of the language.
I want to learn Mandarin for a few reasons. Firstly, I'm good with languages. It's great to have different languages under your belt and even better to know a language from the western and eastern sides of the world. It's easier to get a job knowing more than one language. Almost all my friends speak Mandarin as well and it would be interesting to know what they talk about. I'm also interested in Mandarin pop music and have learned a few songs (though to a teacher I'd rather just say the song instead of sing it.)
Dependi ng on the course, I'd probably want 1-2 hours of lessons per week.
In a teacher, I look for friendliness and someone easy to talk to. If I miss doing some work, they'll understand if I have a good reason. Flexibility would also be a plus as I'm juggling school and a part-time job.

I am interested in learning Romanian. My girlfriend is originally from Romania and her parents still live there. It is important to me that I be able to communicate with them when we visit without my girlfriend always having to translate. I am willing to dedicate 1-3 hours per week plus homework.

I would like to learn Hebrew for work as we travel there quite often. I have no knowledge of the language and would like to have private lessons. I am willing to dedicate atleast two days a week to the language lessons. I would need someone who is able to teach somebody who has no background in speaking hebrew.

I am a native Canadian who would like to learn to speak Arabic (Lebanese/Ira qi or Egyptian accent). I have taken a 3 month course on Arabic and thus am a beginner and need teaching in pronunciation , grammer, conversation, etc. I can read arabic fairly well. I would like to spend aproximately 2 hours a week, and am serious about learning to fluently speak the language in time. I hope to find a patient teacher who loves to teach. Material to take home and study would be valuable to me as I am more of a visual learner. I would only be comfortable with a female teacher. Thanks.

I am planning to visit Italy in October. As a travel tour host with passengers under my responsibilit y, I am itnerested in pursuing a 10 lesson package focusing on beginner conversationa l italian. It is my desire to complete the 10 lesson package by October 9th, 2009.
