I am learning Italian because I am married to an Italian man and have been going to Italy for at least one month per year for over 26 years. I am pretty proficient in conversation but would like to learn more grammar and more about verbs.I have studied with tapes and also in a small adult education class (these things got me started many years ago) but my main education has been my time spent in Italy and my husband's assistance.
So, I need a teacher who can evaluate where I am and what I most need to learn and who can coach me in making additional progress. I would like lessons at least weekly and would, of course, study inbetween the lessons.

I started to study Italian via Rosetta Stone and need further personal instruction to advance. I am a beginner. I need to better my conversationa l and grammatical skills. I have married an Italian man that is unable to teach me. I need to learn to converse with his family on our next visit in August. My interest in foreign languages is a personal interest which I hope to develop into a professional resource at a later time. I currently have practically no foreign language experience save for the Spanish course from my days in high school. This makes all areas of the language studies areas that I need to improve. My ability to allot time to my Language studies is dictated by my full time job as well as my full time formal educational pursuits. Once commenced I will not take lightly any requirements for studying the language, but I will need flexibility for certain periods of time and understanding that I may not be able to dedicate 20 hrs a week to this particular study.
As far as an instructor is concerned I take feedback very seriously and expect to be informed when I am not doing something correctly, but I also expect to be shown respect for my attempt to learn despite any difficulties which may present themselves through the learning process.
I also have an associate interested in learning as well and would like to be able to include this individual in the learning process so either private instruction or instruction with this associate is preferred to open classes/large r groups.
