Hello. My name is Stephanie. I am only 13, but I would like to learn Sign Language. About 2 years ago, my friends and I started to really get into it. I went onto the internet to see if I could get started with some easy signs, I know a few things, I have about 50 pages worth of signs or quick sentences/que stions. I haven't really been studying them, but I have been teaching my baby cusin some of the ones that he could use or would be fun for him. I am a beginner, of course, I would like to learn how to sign so I could use it whenever I would need it. I myself and partialy deaf in one ear, and I would like to use it so I could talk to my deaf realatives as well as my friends. I would like to have a teacher who could make this fun to learn for me. Thank you.

At current I speak only english. I used to be conversant in ASL, but I am now out of practice and fading. I know occasional words and phrases in Yiddish, German, Italian, and French. I am interested in learning those as well as Hebrew.

Good Day to you,
It has always been a dream to be able to sign to a deaf child or interpret to a deaf person. There has been no opportunity that has come my way and I soon forgot all about this wish I've had since childhood. Recently I was on holiday and I met a young man named Steve who was deaf but communicated so effectively with his best friend and made me imagine how wonderful it would be to be able to do be able to communicate with the less fortunate.
So if you live in Mumbai and is willing to teach me to sign, I would be grateful if you could contact me.
