Hello; I am interested in learning American Sign Language. I am a theatre teacher who knows a bit of sign language already; I'd say I am an advanced beginner--per haps intermediate. I am the founder and director of an inclusive theatre company in Houston, and I am interested in directing plays that are performed with sign language. I'd like to take a couple of lessons per week for perhaps 10 weeks--at least until I am more proficient and fluent. I'd like to concentrate on vocabulary and conversation. I would like private lessons so we can go quickly, from a reliable and responsible teacher.

I am learning sign language because two of my deaf friends are coming to visit me this summer and if i don't learn the basics in time, then I won't be able to communicate with them. I am beginner. I'd like to learn the basic words, conversation, and grammar. I don't mind the amount of time dedicated to my lessons, I just wanna be able to have minimum conversation skills in time for their arrival. I am looking for a dedicated, patient, motivating, and pushy teacher.
