I am interested in Farsi/Persian lessons.
W ould it be possible to take only 2 lessons this year? (I am going away) - as in, quite intensive ones; I started a Level 1 course and it was interrupted. I'd like to get up to scratch so that perhaps on my return I can start a Level 2 course if possible. I'm prepared to do lots of self-study.
I am a beginner, although not a complete beginner (I can read, slowly); grammar and verbs need help, as well as conversation. I have got up to the ezafe basically. I want to have a reading, writing, and speaking knowledge of Persian, both because I am studying Persian miniature painting, and because historically part of my family was from there, and because I enjoy learning languages.
Once a week is good for me. I like to ask lots of questions as I learn best like this so hopefully that is okay. A good-humoured teacher is best.

I would like to have Vietnamese language lessons for many reasons:
- firstly, my girlfriend is from Hanoi and i'd like to understand more about her language and culture. Vietnam fascinates me. Also, if I understand even a little Vietnamese then I would be able to better communicate with her family. At the moment I cannot.
- secondly, obviously I could learn Vietnamese from my girlfriend however as she is a student, she doesn't have time. Also, by having a teacher I will be more disciplined to learn.
- thirdly, the world is changing. The power of the world is moving eastwards, Europeans like me need to adapt and to learn an Asian language would benefit me.
- fourthly, I would like to visit Vietnam and knowing the language would give me confidence for when I travel.
I would be starting at beginner level. My girlfriend's mother says I have good speaking skills, it is just that I don't know what I am saying. My girlfriend will tell me what to say but I have no idea what the words mean.
